CODESRIA research grants on university ecosystems (October 2026 call)

CODESRIA (Dakar) research grant for researchers affiliated with a recognised African higher education or research institution, alone or in teams of 3 to 5, on higher education, gender, academic freedom and associational life in African universities. Support lasts 15 months, with a draft budget of USD 5,000 to 15,000. Deadline: 16 January 2027.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships 2027-2028 for a master's degree in the UK

Scholarship from the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK (CSC) and UK universities for an approved master's course in the UK, starting in September or October 2027. It pays tuition fees, the return airfare and an allowance of £1,712 per month (£2,000 in London). It is reserved for citizens and permanent residents of listed Commonwealth countries, including several African countries. Apply on CSC Central from 10 November to 8 December 2026 at 4 PM (GMT).
