   Step 3: Prepare the required documents in advance.

   Documents to provide

   • Copy of identity document (surname, first name, date of birth).
   • Curriculum vitae written in French or English, one or two pages.
   • Diplomas and ranking: any document proving the applicant's excellence.
   • Language certificate or diploma, where applicable.
   • Professional project written in French or, failing that, in English (1 to 2 pages).
   • Presentation of the thesis project and research progress, written in French or English (1 to 5 pages).
   • Reasoned expert opinion on the scientific quality of the thesis topic.
   • CV of the expert who wrote the opinion.
   • Overall funding plan for the thesis.
   • Cotutelle agreement or co-supervision certificate signed by the French and foreign parties.

   Step 4: Send a message to international.accueil@univ-nantes.fr stating your surname, first name, the name and email of your thesis supervisor at Nantes Université and the name of the doctoral school.
