  • Remain enrolled full time at Université Laval throughout the programme (autumn and winter sessions).RequiredOrganisation’s wording: Maintenir un statut d'inscription à temps complet à l'Université Laval tout au long du programme d'études pour lequel la bourse a été octroyée (sessions d'automne et d'hiver);
  • Study in Canada and hold a valid study permit when the payments are made. If you are applying for study immigration documents for the first time, follow-up with a regulated immigration adviser (CRIEE) is mandatory.RequiredOrganisation’s wording: Vous devez effectuer vos études au Canada et posséder un permis d’études valide au moment de recevoir les versements de la bourse.   • The scholarship does not cover all the costs of one year of study in Québec City (tuition fees and living expenses).

  • If the scholarship is offered to you: pay, within 15 days, the required deposit on your tuition fees (amount not stated on the page).
When it is paid
$5,000 per session: up to 4 sessions ($20,000) for a master's with thesis, up to 6 sessions ($30,000) for a doctorate. Renewable each year for the official duration of the programme, subject to conditions.

Application steps

  1. Step 1: Submit a new admission application to a master's with thesis or a doctorate for 2027 and pay the admission fees; wait until it is processed (administrative delays can be long).

  2. Step 2: Fill in the online scholarship form (log in with the credentials received from the Registrar's Office) and name a respondent. Documents sent by e-mail are not accepted.

    Documents to provide
    • Official transcript as a single PDF, in French or English (or translated), with a numerical average: your bachelor's (licence) transcript for a master's, your master's transcript for a doctorate
  3. Step 3: Your respondent (professor, employer, supervisor, coach…) completes their section online with the secure link received by e-mail. Without a recommendation by the deadline, the application is rejected.
